What makes a good question for friends?

A friends question can go somewhere a party question cannot, because the answer costs something. "What is your most embarrassing moment?" is a party question. "What is the one thing about me you have never said out loud?" is a friends question. The second one only works if the people at the table have history.

The dares follow the same rule and one more: they finish fast and they stay indoors. Nothing on this list asks anyone to leave the room, spend money, or do something they cannot undo. A dare that takes twenty minutes kills the game for everyone waiting. The same rule holds in every deck — the dares for truth or dare page has the party and couples ones too, sorted by deck.

Playing with more than two people unlocks a different kind of card — rankings, votes, and "who here" questions that need a group to mean anything. Two is enough, but three or more is better — that is when ranking, voting and group questions start working. The game drops those cards automatically when only two people are playing, so a pair never gets a card they cannot answer.
