Terms & conditions

These terms are an agreement between you and truthordaregame.net, operated from India. By opening the site, playing a game, or creating an account, you accept them. If you do not agree with them, the only move is not to use the site. The privacy policy explains how we handle data and is part of the same deal.

You must be at least 18 years old to use this site. Because some of our game decks (like Spicy and Extreme) contain explicit, adult-leaning questions and dares, as well as optional drinking game mechanics, this platform is strictly for adults. By opening the site, playing a game, or creating an account, you confirm that you and everyone playing with you is at least 18 years old.

You can play everything as a guest. An account exists to save your player name, decks, history and plan. When you register, give accurate details and keep your password to yourself — you are responsible for what happens under your account. As the privacy policy explains, registration details are recorded along with technical data such as your IP address, and may be checked against publicly available information to keep the service free of fake and abusive accounts.

One account per person, and accounts are not transferable or for sale.

Your player name — and your profile photo, if you add one — is shown to the other players in every game you play or join. By setting them, you give us permission to display them there; that permission ends when you remove them or delete your account. Use a name and photo you have the right to use: your own, not someone else's, and nothing offensive, explicit or unlawful. We may remove names or photos that break this rule.

Every card is written to be doable in the room, in under a minute, without harm. But a card is a suggestion, not an instruction: you and your group decide what actually happens, and you perform every dare at your own judgement and your own risk. Skip anything that feels wrong — the game has a Skip button for exactly that reason.

Never use a card as an excuse to pressure someone. Everything in the game works on consent: anyone can refuse any card, sit out any round, or leave at any time. Nothing on this site is an invitation to do anything dangerous, unlawful, or against someone's will.

Rooms are for playing with people you invited. Do not share a room link publicly, do not join rooms you were not invited to, and do not harass, threaten or target other players. Do not scrape the site, flood it with automated traffic, interfere with other people's games, or try to break in. Rooms are temporary by design — they end when everyone leaves, and nothing said in them is stored.

We may close rooms, remove content, or suspend and terminate accounts that break these terms — permanently, where the behaviour warrants it.

Every deck, every mode and every room is free to play, and stays that way. The site is funded by advertising: ads from third-party partners will appear around the game (never in the middle of your turn), which is what keeps the game free for everyone. How ads handle data is covered in the privacy policy.

Premium is an optional subscription at $0.99 per month, billed annually as one yearly payment of $11.88 (or the equivalent shown at checkout in your currency). It removes ads, and adds features as they launch — such as voice and video chat, and playing with strangers. Features marked "coming soon" arrive when they are ready; the price you see at checkout is the price you pay.

• Auto-renewal: Premium renews automatically each year until you cancel. Cancel any time from your billing page — you keep Premium until the end of the period you already paid for, and you are simply not charged again. No cancellation fee, no phone call, no dark patterns.
• No refunds: payments are final and non-refundable, including for partly used months. We keep the price deliberately low instead of building a refunds department — if something is genuinely broken on our side, write to us and we will sort it out fairly. Nothing here overrides refund rights that consumer law grants you and does not allow us to exclude.

If the price ever changes, we will tell you in advance, and the new price only applies from your next renewal — never mid-cycle.

You can delete your account at any time, from your profile settings or by email. Deleting your account cancels any active subscription from the next renewal; the current paid period is not refunded. What happens to your data is in the privacy policy — the short answer is that it goes.

The questions, dares, design, name and code of this site belong to us. Play with them as much as you like — screenshots at parties are the whole point — but do not scrape the decks, republish them as your own product, or copy the site. Anything you submit to us, like question ideas, you allow us to use in the game; credit is happily given but decks stay editorially ours.

The site is provided as-is. We work to keep it fast and available, but we cannot promise it will always be online, bug-free, or that a room will never drop mid-game. Features may change, be added, or be removed as the game evolves — if a change materially affects Premium, section 8's price-change rules apply.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for what happens in your game — including anything anyone says, does, or refuses to do in response to a card — or for indirect losses arising from using the site. Where liability cannot be excluded, ours is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, and nothing removes rights that consumer law guarantees you.

If you use the site in a way that breaks these terms or the law and it lands us in a dispute, you agree to cover the costs that your actions caused.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes belong to the courts of India — except that if you are a consumer somewhere that guarantees you the protection of your local law and courts, you keep that protection. Before any of that, just write to us; almost everything is fixable with one email.

When these terms change, the effective date at the top changes with them — no silent edits — and significant changes, like Premium going live, get announced on the site first. Questions about any of this go to [email protected].
