The game is free, and ads will pay for it. A card is only a suggestion. Your group decides what happens, and you play at your own risk. Play with people who want to play, and keep the 18+ decks for adults. We offer the site as it is, and we limit our liability as far as the law allows.
1.About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and truthordaregame.net, a game run from India. When they say "we" or "us", they mean the site. When you use the site, play a game or create an account, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
The community rules are part of these terms. The cookie policy, the refund policy and the disclaimer explain parts of them in more detail.
2.Who can play
You must be 13 or older. If you are under 18, you can create an account only with a parent's or guardian's permission, and they agree to these terms for you.
The Spicy and Extreme decks are for adults. Both carry an 18+ label and have explicit content. Play them only when everyone at the table is 18 or older. We do not check ages, so this is up to the players and whoever picks the deck.
The drinking game is only for people of legal drinking age where they are playing. Wherever you play, you must follow the local law.
3.Your account
You can play everything as a guest. To create a room, you need an account with a confirmed email address.
Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for everything done through your account, so tell us at once if someone else gets into it. One account per person. You cannot share, sell or hand over an account. We may refuse or close accounts that use false details or break these terms.
4.Playing safely
Truth or Dare is a party game. It is not advice, a dating service or therapy. Some cards are personal or embarrassing, and the 18+ decks are explicit. Card translations are done by machine and can be wrong. The English card is the original.
A card is only a suggestion. Anyone can turn down any card or leave the game at any time. Nobody should be pushed into anything.
You play at your own risk and you are responsible for your own safety. That includes anything physical, anything you eat or drink, the drinking game, and anything you say, send or show. Other players may remember, repeat or record what you share. We are not responsible for what they do with it, or for how a game affects anyone or any relationship.
5.Rooms and house rules
Anyone with a room link or code can join that room, so send links only to people you want to play with. Whoever creates a room is responsible for who they invite and which deck they pick.
We do not watch rooms while you play, and we do not record calls or listen in. We keep chat for a short time to deal with abuse, as the privacy policy explains. To report a player or anything illegal, email [email protected] with the room code and the time it happened.
On the site, you must not:
- harass, threaten or put down anyone, or push anyone into a dare or into sharing something;
- ask for or share intimate images, or share anyone's private details without their permission;
- bring anyone under 18 into an 18+ deck, or post anything sexual involving a minor. We report this to the police;
- post anything illegal or hateful, break anyone else's rights, or pretend to be someone else;
- send spam, copy or scrape the site or its decks, use bots, get around our limits, or try to break in;
- use the site for business without our written permission.
6.Your content and ours
Your player name, avatar and chat messages belong to you, and you are responsible for them. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, show and process them so the site can work. That includes showing them to your room and keeping chat for abuse reports. We may remove anything that breaks these terms or the law, without telling you first.
The site and everything on it belong to us, including the questions, dares, design, name and code. You can play and share screenshots for personal use. You cannot copy, scrape, republish or sell any of it. If you send us ideas, we can use them freely, without paying you or naming you.
8.Changes and closing accounts
We can change, add or remove any part of the site, any deck or any card at any time. Rooms are temporary and can end or drop at any time.
We can remove content, close rooms, or suspend or close any account, without notice, if we reasonably believe someone has broken these terms or the law, or put others at risk, or if the law requires it.
You can stop using the site and delete your account whenever you like. Deleting it cancels Premium from the next renewal. The current month is not refunded. Sections 6, 9, 10 and 11 still apply after you stop using the site.
9.What we are not responsible for
We offer the site "as is" and "as available", with no warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not promise that it will always work, be free of errors or suit you. We do not check who players are or how old they are, and we are not responsible for how they behave, online or in person.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for:
- any injury, loss, damage, upset or embarrassment caused by a card, a dare, the drinking game, or anything a player says or does;
- content from other players, services run by other companies, or lost data or rooms;
- any indirect, consequential or punitive loss, or any loss of profit or reputation.
Our total liability for all claims is limited to whichever is higher: what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1,000 (or the same amount in your currency).
Nothing here limits a liability that the law does not allow us to limit, such as death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Nothing here takes away your rights under consumer law.
10.Claims against us
To the extent the law allows, you will protect us from any claim, loss or cost, including reasonable legal fees, that someone else brings because you broke these terms or the law, because of your content, or because of what you did on the site.
Disagreements between players stay between those players. You release us from claims that come from them.
11.Disputes and governing law
Indian law governs these terms, and only the courts of India can decide disputes about them. If consumer law lets you take a claim to the courts where you live, you keep that right.
Before you start a formal claim, write to [email protected] and give us 30 days to fix the problem. To the extent the law allows, you must bring a claim within one year of what caused it, and only for yourself, not as part of a group or class action.
12.The rest of the legal terms
These terms and the privacy policy are our whole agreement. If a court rules that part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later. You cannot transfer your rights under these terms, but we can, for example if the site is sold. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by things outside our control. If these terms are translated, the English version is the one that counts.
When we change these terms, the date at the top changes too. We announce big changes on the site first. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms. Questions go to [email protected].
