Absolutely. Every deck, every mode, and every question is 100% free. We don't hide the best dares behind paywalls or subscriptions. You get the full premium multiplayer experience for free.
What are the rules of the Truth or Dare game? οΌ
The rules are simple: on your turn, choose truth or dare before your card is revealed. Answer truths honestly and complete dares fully. If you refuse, the group decides your forfeit! It's the ultimate social party game.
What are good Truth or Dare questions and ideas? οΌ
The best truth questions demand specific, embarrassing, or shocking answers. The best dares can be completed instantly in the room without props. Read them before you play: the truth or dare questions page prints the party, friends and couples lists, and the dares page has the dares on their own.
How do you play Truth or Dare online with friends? οΌ
Create a free private room here on the site and share the invite link. Up to four players can join from their own devices anywhere in the world. Pair it with a Discord or FaceTime call and it feels like playing in the same room β see games to play on FaceTime for what else survives a video call.
Can you play Truth or Dare over text, WhatsApp, or Instagram? οΌ

How many players do you need? οΌ
You only need two players to start β our Couples deck is designed specifically for date nights. For group parties, four to eight players is the sweet spot. Our Pass & Play mode supports up to ten players seamlessly on a single device.
What are the best house rules to add? οΌ
We highly recommend 'The Veto' (every player gets one free skip per game without a forfeit) and 'The Vault' (what happens in the game, stays in the game). These rules make players feel safe, leading to much wilder answers!
Can I play this as a drinking game? οΌ
Yes! We built a dedicated Truth or Drink mode right into the platform. Just toggle 'Drinking Mode' on in the host settings, and players will face an instant sip penalty if they chicken out of a card!
Can we play in our own language? οΌ
Yes. Tap 'Cards in' when you join a room or set up pass-and-play and pick from 183 languages. Each card is then translated live and shown under the English one, and every player chooses for themselves β three friends reading three scripts still play one game.
